Telegram Wallet Features

Telegram Wallet Interface

Send and receive cryptocurrencies

Users can send coins both to external wallets and directly inside Telegram — through chats using the wallet's built-in functions. Transfers within the messenger are possible both at TON address and at domain name of the user. Telegram Wallet also supports the creation and scanning of QR codes to simplify the process of sending and receiving cryptocurrencies.

It is worth noting separately that Telegram Wallet does not support NFT and Jetton.

Cryptocurrency Exchange

The built-in exchange service gives users the ability to convert one cryptocurrency to another without leaving the Telegram app.

Reporting

The Wallet provides users with detailed information about the current balance and transaction history.

Telegram Wallet Top-up Options

Account Replenishment

Top-up

There are 3 ways to top-up the wallet in the application:

  • Bank Card
  • Via P2P market (Telegram Wallet support acts as an arbitrator to resolve disputes);
  • By transfer from another wallet.

Exchange

  • Currency conversion within the wallet is available between all supported assets (TON, NOT, BTC, USDT).

Security Mechanisms

Message received by unverified user

For the security of user funds, the Telegram Wallet app uses:

  • KYC (Know Your Customer) — after creating a wallet, the user is required to provide personal data and an identification document for full access to the functionality.
  • Two Factor Authentication (2FA) — an additional level of protection that requires you to enter a code from SMS when logging into your messenger account;
  • Wallet Password Code — password for access to the wallet, which the user can set independently;
  • Biometric wallet authentication (FaceID — iOS, TouchID — Android) to quickly and securely log into your wallet;
  • Binding wallet to @mail to allow you to restore access in case you lose your password or device.

These measures help to ensure security and protect user assets.

Wallet Pay

Wallet Pay is a payment platform designed to pay for goods and services via Telegram. By integrating Wallet Pay into a text bot or into their Telegram Web App, merchants can accept and process payments in Toncoin, Bitcoin and USDT cryptocurrency.

Sellers can specify prices for goods or services in fiat currency, but when paying, the buyer will see the equivalent in cryptocurrency.

Payments are made directly inside the bot in Telegram using the user's Wallet balance.

Each user can try in test bot how the purchase process takes place (payment in the bot takes place in the main network, so the funds of 0.01 TON are deducted irrevocably).
