TON Dev Study
TON Dev Study (stylized as ton_dev~study()) is an online course on the fundamentals of blockchain development for TON.
During the program, students learn to create and test smart contracts, work with NFTs, study the basics of cryptography, and interact with TON Connect, TON Storage, TON DNS, and TON Sites.
History
The project launched in January 2023 as the Russian-language YouTube channel TON Dev Study [RU], dedicated to the basics of development on TON. In March 2023, with the support of TON Foundation, the English-language channel TON Dev Study [EN] began operating.
Due to the dynamic growth of the industry and a shortage of specialists in the market, the team decided to reformat the project by adding instructors and introducing a feedback mechanism with curators. In the autumn of the same year, the full-fledged Russian-language course TON Dev Study was launched.
Target audience
The course is primarily designed for web2 and web3 developers with knowledge of Python or Go languages. For prospective students without prior development experience, there is an opportunity to independently enhance their skills through the «Free Training» section, which provides necessary materials.
Key features
The training takes place on the SkillSpace platform in the form of webinars. Students can view the videos either live online or as recordings. After watching the lectures, students undergo assessment tests and optionally complete homework assignments. Additionally, learners gain access to a shared chat with instructors.
The course consists of 4 modules:
- fundamental knowledge: introduction to TON and basics of cryptography;
- core skills: programming in FIFT, FunC, and TACT languages;
- advanced skills (development on TON using Python and Go);
- deep dive.
The estimated duration of the course is 4 months. Upon completion, students receive an NFT certificate, which they create during a separate practical session.

Among the instructors are active developers and project authors on TON, who are members of projects like TON Foundation, jetton, bemo, Tonkeeper, and others.
Rates
The course offers 4 pricing tiers: their cost varies depending on the ability to attend webinars, the availability of homework (and its evaluation), and direct communication with instructors.
The cheapest «Asynchronous» tier costs 25 TON and does not include live webinar attendance (viewing is available only in recordings), homework evaluation, or the ability to ask questions to instructors. The most expensive «Premium» tier (100 TON) includes the above options.
The program includes corporate discounts and a promo code system for participants from earlier cohorts, as well as a grant system for authors of the most promising projects.

Graduates of the course can work on external projects that are interested in recruiting developers. Additionally, the «Aggregator» page features a list of student projects seeking team expansion or reinforcement. This way, the creators of TON Dev Study cultivate a community of developers and project authors mutually interested in collaboration.
