Professional Background
Kirill is a winner of several open programming competitions held by the Telegram team. His professional journey in blockchain technology dates back to the early days of Bitcoin. Over the years, he has accumulated extensive knowledge and experience in blockchain development, having worked with various decentralized networks.
In 2019, he met Anatoliy Makosov during TON Blockchain Contests, organized by Telegram, where both of them secured top positions. This encounter marked a pivotal moment in Kirill’s career, as it led to their collaboration on some of the most significant blockchain solutions.
Work on Orion Protocol
Together with Anatoliy, Kirill contributed to the development of the Orion Protocol, a protocol for aggregating centralized (CEX) and decentralized exchanges (DEX). During this project, it became evident that, following the trend of exchange and liquidity pool aggregation, there would be a growing demand for blockchain aggregation.
This insight drove Kirill to dedicate all his efforts on TON, where he applied his expertise in blockchain development.
Work at TON Foundation
After completing work on Orion Protocol, Kirill and Anatoliy decided to fully commit to developing TON Ecosystem. At TON Foundation, Kirill Emelyanenko plays a critical role, developing smart contracts, improving network scalability, and creating tools for other developers. His work has had a direct impact on the growth of TON Ecosystem, making it more accessible and efficient for a wide range of developers and users.
A key part of his work includes development and maintenance of key repositories on GitHub, which provides tools and libraries for developing smart contracts and integrating with TON. These projects make the blockchain more accessible and flexible for various businesses and decentralized solutions.
Impact on the Blockchain Community and Governance Structure Development
Kirill's work at TON Foundation has significantly shaped the development of TON Blockchain Ecosystem. Initially, TON Foundation served as an umbrella brand, uniting various efforts to develop TON Blockchain. However, following a major Ecosystem update, TON Foundation became a legal entity with a distinct role.
Kirill explained that TON Core, a group of independent developers, is no longer directly associated with TON Foundation as a legal entity. This shift was confirmed with a post by Anatoly Makosov, one of TON Core's leading developers, who emphasized that TON Core operates autonomously from TON Foundation.
These changes have helped clarify the roles and responsibilities within the Ecosystem. Despite the functional separation between TON Core and TON Foundation,both entities remain committed to the same goal: TON Blockchain development and support.
